Wassup! Talofa & Afio Mai! Welcome to Urban Taupou Collective. My name is Tali, and I’m the founder of this brand. Urban Taupou Collective is inspired by my queen mother, Peka, and our journey from the motherland, Samoa, to the mainland. We’ve since rooted ourselves in the San Francisco Bay Area, and our story continues to grow from here.

Urban Taupou was created to celebrate the strength, beauty, and identity of Samoan women—wherever we are in the world. The name Urban Taupou honors the taupou, the daughter of a high chief in Samoan tradition. Known for her leadership, dignity, and role in representing her family and village, the taupou embodies the same mana- spirit that our brand carries into modern life: connecting cultural roots with everyday expression.

Our pieces are inspired by the heart of Samoa—the patterns, stories, and values—but with a twist of urban living. Urban Taupou Collective is for those of us in the diaspora who want to stay connected to our roots in our own way. Whether it's through a design that reminds you of home or a product that carries the spirit of the islands, everything we create honors where we come from.
